Here is what you need for cleaning, sanitizing, storing and sealing your oak barrel. You will get a citric acid cleaner, some barrel sanitizer, storage tablets and a little barrel wax in case you get a leak on your barrel.
Just remember that you never allow a barrel to dry out once you have cured it or it may not seal back up. You have to store it with liquor or water. If you store it with water you don’t want mold to grow inside so you will use the storage tablets to prevent mold. Cleaning and maintenance of you oak barrel will help it to last longer for you.
