Liquor cured barrels are the latest in oak barrel recipes. We have tested out quite a few different recipes and you can certainly test out what works best for your taste. I like just about anything in a bourbon cured barrel including, rum, tequila, brandy, scotch, etc. If you want just a hint of cherry try the cherry bourbon cured barrel with your next batch. Just the right amount of cherry tart.
Make sure you are ready to fill the flavor infused oak barrel when it arrives at your home. You cannot allow the barrel to dry out or else you may have a problem with leaking that won’t be covered under warranty. Once a barrel has been cured it has to stay wet or the wood will dry and shrivel up. We will leave a small amount of liquor in the barrel for the transport but it is not enough to keep it cured for too long. Be sure to fill it within 2 days after you receive it.
